Part 1 looks very good.. Did you put in any damping? And any reason why you're going with the 8 inch subs rather than something bigger? (though the ID's do sound great)

Nice pics, Mojo And really good equipment. I'd heard the install sounds awesome. Enjoyyyyy!!!

@theEND, I guess he wanted a total stealth + SQ install. Those ID8s are going into the small hollow spaces on the two sides of the end of the boot. I don't think even 10"s would fit (physical size + enclosure volume limitations). And two 8"s would sound real tight. Tighter than a single 12", but about as loud.

@nikibusa, I guess the silver foil is so the fibreglass does not stick to the stock moulded plastic pads, and can be easily removed when required. Those OE pads cost a whole lot.

No damping was used. The general opinion is that new CR-V has adequate in-built damping. 8 inch subs because wanted to preserve boot space and looking back it was a good choice.

The HU is indeed stock. Wanted to keep as low-key an install as possible and the stock HU is very well integrated into the fascia. That said, I still do have option to change HU in the future.

I like. That is one very sweeeeeet install. the subs are located beautifully so as to not intrude into luggage area and stealthy.
