Got the install done yesterday, illusions are now in the car, many thanks to Gunbir sir for fine tuning and helping with the install when he was not feeling well too.

No hard feelings - but Illusions are not that a great product, recommend something to people which is worth the money and is a quality product.

In sometime, i might have to upgrade the system again:(

Again, thank you Gunbir ji.

What exactly did you notice as deficiencies? Which make / model did you compare with?

An objective expression of your experience will help everyone. It will also perhaps help you understand the issues and save you $$$ in upgrades.

Compared with Rainbow coaxials, they sounded much better. I had to put an amp to get decent sound out of illusions, which i had no plan initially.

It would have been a good idea to buy the Rainbow co axials instead and selling the Illusions and not buying the amp at all. Probably would have gotten better sound by spending less money

Udit - as DerAlte ji said, it would be great if you can post the comparison in detail. Waiting eagerly for it.

What exaclty is the model you got from Illusion (size, type, model num, is driven by amp, etc)? And what is its price?
What co-axs were them from Rainbow (again same details)? And what is the price they sell?
And finally the musical part - what are the differences you heard?

Thanks in advance.

Yes but i did not want to shell them out cheap as they were brand new, so putting an amp was better at least i was not loosing money there, instead getting something added only. The sound is not bad now, it is decent.

But i will not recommend illusion compos 4 inchers to anyone.

I expected a detailed reply from you and you summed it up in just cost. Let me ask something so that it will be easy for you to reply.

Rainbow 6x9 co-axial ?
Illusion 4"?
Both driven without amp?
Rainbows were louder and more bassy?
Illusion were mild and less crispy?
etc.

Udit, I am using 4 inch Illusion COmps in my Alto & am very happy with it.

Are you comparing Rainbow 4 inch coaxials with 4 inch Illusion comps?
