Sorry to hijack this thread.

I saw some netbooks or ultracompact Laptops and wanted to check with others on the forum if anyone's tried using a laptop or netbook as a carputer. Any experiences ?

My 2nd question is if the motorized screen from a 1U HeadUnit can be removed and mounted in a custom built enclosure that can sit ontop of a dashboard along with the motor mechanism ? Or is a flip up screen available that can sit ontop of a dash.
