I know a guy called Sri Vignesh Car Jewels in Erode. Check with him, he has many good speakers of various brands.
Sam his HU is a cassette player.

Oh dear, I misunderstood. Well then a cheap MP3 player is in order, I can sugest the Pioneer 2XXX and the JVC entry level too. Add to that 4 nice speakers and that's all in your budget.

Later, when you get more budgets, you can add an amp and a sub.

Happens when you're working too hard. I suggest you go to Bangkok for the weekend.

I am a new member here. Just now, i bought a 2002 Esteem Vxi. The car is now having Sony XRC2600 cassette player. It has cd changer option too. It also has a built in power amp which sounds pretty good. But, now i am confused to whether just to buy a HU and connect it with the existing amp or change the complete audio setup. As, I am new to car audio, pls give me your valuable suggestion.

Regards
Mohan.
If it's a built-in power amp (I assume you're talking about the amp in the HU, I got confused since you were talking about connecting it to the new HU ) And could you please tell us the current speaker setup?

I'm pretty new to TBHP and I find your posts really amusing, whether you get them right or wrong, they're simply hilarious (In a positive sense, that is)!

Sir this thread is going in to circles with no output....Since you havent posted again we are all asking which power amp do u have so that we can suggest further how do you plan to improve your setup....

Sony HU are ok ok stuff nothing good here you can upgrade your HU if you plan to use mp3 in place of old and died cassette format...
