Filter causes filter flare. So I use filter only when lens is stored, or I am shooting with a polarizer. Filter for me is more if a secondary lens cap. I got rainwater marks on a night shoot at india gate when it started drizzling very lightly.
Also when I shoot lightning, due to the winds some drops do land on the lens. |
