Team-BHP - Need to ICE-up my Aveo UVA

Hi gurus!

I'm back after a long long time. (Was short on moolah, so wasn't too active on ICE-ing the car, but now things have changed! )

I'm confused on what size of co-axials, the stock locations in the front door of the car can accomodate? Also, if I go for components, what size should I get installed?

I wouldnt want to rip off the door and/ or make the speakers look prominently visible.

Also, isn't getting the speakers installed in the doors risky?

Why I ask is.. In the rains if you open car doors, the speakers will get drenched, right? Also, I remember reading somwhere in the forum, that the water that seeps in from under the glass in the doors will go be collected inside the doors. This water has to be removed manually by unplugging a plug under the door. Won't this collected water spoil the speakers?

looks like 5" woofers will fit without modification and mabe even a 6" woofer will fit in that location. I thought the Aveo has stock tweeter pods but if it does not maybe it can be flush mounted on the door itself or on the A pillar.

most car speakers are built to withstand a bit of humidity but not a drenching. Unless your car gets flooded I dont think a drenching is really what they'll be subjected to anyway.

I'm planning to demo out the Illusion electra series, probably by the end of Sept. when B&T drops into bangy.

Reg. protecting speakers from moisture and humdity - I have read somewhere that "baffling" OR using "baffles" can avoid this.

Is this recommended? OR its implied that all installers use baffles? If not, maybe I should insist on installing baffles also.

Whats your opinion?
