Got a Blau system for my Swift

Hi guys,

First and foremost, I would like to thank all he gurus out here for the educative information I could get regarding various systems. By the time I went through many of the posts in this forum, I could at least make out what I needed to get installed in my swift.

I went and got the following installed :

(1) Blaupunkt Bahamas HU
(2) Blau GTc 172 comps for the front
(3) Blau GTx 693 Tri-axial for the rear.

Since the rear speakers were oval, had to get a parcel tray fitted.

System is great with nice sound.

Cost me 9733 + 2622 + 3066 respectively + 12.5% VAT, with B/W. Got it done from the Blau showroom at Bandra (W), (Mumbai).

Regards,

Kiron

I guess Kiron has these components - Blaupunkt - Loud Speakers - GT Series - GTc 172

Guru's, can component systems come without a crossover? If they do then how are they wired?

Look forward to some pics of your ICE set-up. Enjoy the sound mate !

Temme one thing. Does the 693's have higher treble outputs than bass?

not really. they would all need a crossover howevre simple. in fact even coax speakers have a crossover (a simple one that is not in a seperate box).

Thanks for the clarification Navin. How are they wired if they do not come in a separate box?

"in line"! I bet the XO is pretty simple. Just a cap for the tweeter and they let the woofer run fullrange, just like they do for a coax.

Isnt that how the JBL CS components work as well. I know it is letting your ears decide but what are the downsides of woofers running full range
