A Lil' Bit of JBL

Here is a nice setup which was completed on an Ikon, by Anwar
4 subs with 3 amps , front and rear component speakers, In Dash DVD player , capacitors and all that Jazz. Fiberglassed into tight enclosures churning out some real tight and very loud bass!
Some of the pics have come blurry as the subs were playing when they were taken.

Pics Below:

List of Equipment:

4 JBL 1000 Watt 12" Subs
1 Kicker ZX400.1 mono amp
1 Pioneer D510 Mono amp
1 set of Scosche eFx 6.5" Component Speakers
1 set of Scosche eFx 5.25" Component Speakers
1 Pioneer GM 334 4 Channel amplifier (not sure abt model)
2 Lightning Audio Bolt 1 FGarad capacitors
1 Pioneer In Dash DVD player with 7" motorised screen ( I think the 5750DVD )

Nice install. I'm sure it must be loud and clear. Anwar's installs are always nice.

I'm not being picky, but that logo, well... that's not how it's supposed to look lol.

The idea is cool. Blue light at night looks good. Is the problem with B ? looks to me like a E and mirrored E joined together.

Not much idea of the system, but looks like above lac system. Might be more.

awesome install.....please post some daylight pics as well.
@sam:is it wrong because the letters are placed vertically instead of horizontally or is it something else.

Maybe the JBL logo with an Orange throw backlit, would have made Sam happy ..& would have looked good.

Niki.

No even the type font of the logo is not right but who are we kidding I was more concerned about using 1 kicker zx400 and 1 pio D510 amp for the subs. also the box for the subs looks rather small. The car looks like a mid sized sedan and with the amps taking up so much of the boot space the depth of the sub box cant be that much.

assuming a box width of 3', depth of 1' and height of 15" we are talking barely 3 cu. ft net internal volume for 4 12" subs.

Yes, the letters are wrong. The proportion is wrong. Vertical instead of Horizontal (cannot do that) and the bounding box is missing.

It's OT, but since the preservation of that logo is my job, I mentioned it.

exactly what i was thinking... although real clean install and setup looks awesome but really want to know how did he connect the amps to the subs....is it that 2 of the subs are being underpowered bcoz the pio amp seems to be of 300rms whereas the kicker 1 is 400rms....

The owner of the vehicle already had the Pio amps beforehand and did not want to get rid of them and moreover was planning to fit 4 Pio 306 subs but Anwar suggested him to change to something with better SQ as he was not willing to spend too much on the subs, hence JBL was one of the best VFM in that range.

As far as I know the GT4 sub is 200 RMS, so there is'nt any massive underpowering, in fact Kickers always churn out more, and this amp was around 450 RMS actual. Only the pio amp is slightly underpowering the other 2 JBLs but Anwar has some magical tuning, so it all feels pretty linear.
About the logo it was carved out and the B looks odd, but somehow I feel the customer did not do justice to Anwar as he gave him too less time, that setup was built in 2.5 Days straight, I have seen no installer complete a job like that that fast.

The enclosure volumes internally is around 0.8 to 0.9 Cu Ft each, the snaps are really bad , and no daytime pics as the car was moving out to Hyderabad that very hour, however snaps are there with good cams and flash, so will try to get some of those.
Below is are some pics of the enclosures without subs.
