Hello All

Been using AA on my new XUV 700 for nearly a month now. It's a breeze and just amazing for navigation. One N00b question - is there a way I can control the audio volume from my phone while connected to AA? I've tried tons of things just doesn't work. I want the optionality of passengers being able to adjust volume apart from music control. Using YouTube Premium for all my music needs.

Like others I was also waiting for android auto coolwalk assuming that it will give me full screen on my new i20 10.25 inch screen. I got coolwalk few weeks ago but it didn't give me full screen and from online search I came to know this needs to be enabled by car manufacturer. My hopes were again on the rise when I saw a new infotainment update downloading..which took about 10 days to download (may be due to network or server issue). Sadly hyundai dithched i20 owners by not giving us android auto full screen this time also. Seems creta/seltos/venue are given preference
Still no support for Android Auto's full screen interface on the 10.25-inch head unit of the i20? However, I'm going to assume that Apple CarPlay can be utilized in full screen mode.

My colleague's Kia Sonet 10.25 inch has got full screen for android auto few months ago, seems they are focusing on big cars only. I also read on internet that future 10.25 inch screens will have wireless android auto.

Re: Android Auto set to get a new look in 2023; Plenty of new in-built features & tech

Today morning I noticed updated display theme for Google maps - both on Android Auto and mobile. It was unchanged till yesterday evening.

Personally speaking, this looks better. Though have to check in night for night mode. The existing theme has poor readability for text and roads, I hope that's improved.

Fellow Team-BHPians, what's your opinion ?

IIRC, the new theme is closer to the theme used by another map provider, though not sure about this.

My maps got updated today and I was confused as to what's wrong with it. Now I understand. Haven't checked in my car as yet.

Recently, Google Maps rolled out a new colour scheme on both desktop and mobile versions of the app. The roads no longer appear white and yellow. Instead, they are now in various shades of grey.

The designer who helped Google Maps 15 years ago, Elizabeth Laraki, took to X and wrote :

"15 years ago, I helped design Google Maps. I still use it everyday. Last week, the team dramatically changed the map's visual design. I don't love it. It feels colder, less accurate and less human. But more importantly, they missed a key opportunity to simplify and scale."
