Mercedes Benz E Class ICE

Hi all...

Here's another one for you from our one post wonder Mukul of Patel Auto. Here we go...

Stuff going in...

Front Stage: HERTZ Hi-Energy HSK163 3way component system
Amp for Fronts: Audison SRx2S 2ch amp, 2x180w
Rear Fill: HERTZ Hi-Energy HCX130 coaxial speakers
Subs: Image Dynamics iD12v3 D2 12" Subwoofers
Amp for Rear Fill and Subs: Audison SRx3 3ch amp, 2x65w + 1x340w

Subs get FG enclosures...

MDF spacer ring installed on door...

HV165L Woofer installed on door

HL70 Cone Midrange installed on dash location. HT25 tweeter installed in sail panels.

Sony DV2000 DVD/SACD HU going in. There are screens in the headrests, but I don't have a pic.

Subs go in boot, note amps...

Amps...

Now those of you familiar with the Audison SRx amps must have noticed that they look a bit different here. Well the talented Mukul painted the amps to a deep gloss cherry / matt black finish, same as he did the car. Now thats what I call custom. You may spot the car in Delhi with a hot set of wheels and an amazing paint job.

Finished Boot

The Sony HU sounds clean but is a tad slow on reading both, WMA DVDs and Audio CDs. Feature set is quite decent.

The sound? As expected the car sounds great. The system plays loud and clean, with great staging in the front.

Enjoy!!!

Yup. It takes a lot of effort and patience. The amps have to be disassembled and reassembled. But the end product is worth it. Photos don't do them justice. If you look carefully, what seem like marks are actually reflections of things in the boot like sub etc.

@hp's quip gives me a thought:
"Gunbir/MukulPatel Great Install" standards, or GMPGI standards: 0=hajjaam install, 10-OEM.

This one would be at 8?
