pioneer 7850bt backlight problem

i have a pioneer 7850bt HU in my car. from the past few days the blue backlight is giving some problems. the back light starts to glow fully for about 30 seconds, and then goes back to the normal chosen display. this goes on every 30-40seconds. how can this problem be solved. please help.

There is an input to the HU coming from the headlamp circuit, which dims the display when you switch on headlamps (otherwise the display will be disturbingly bright at night). Maybe this connection is loose or touching the chassis sometimes.

Check the HU manual - you will find the pin number of this signal

It is normal thing..

This is called reverse display by pioneer people. it helps the display for its longer life. Normal if the display is not reversed and the same thing is displayed everytime it will leave the marks and when any other thing is displayed it will show some marks.

here is a details of the pioneer manual about it.

I would recommend to keep it ON. as it will keep the display fit.
