that is what navin has suggested. I'm not sure how amps handle simultaneous inputs through the speaker and line level

Guys I had got the JBL CS2165c installed. Now yesterday I was asked about the location of the small "dibbi" of the compos. Now I am unable to find it. Does this model come with that small rectangular bit of equipment. Is it called as a crossover or relay? If yes then where can I look for it as it does not seem to be installed where I can see even after searching for it.

yes, all compos come with the crossover.

Your installer probably hid it. In a rare case of the lazy installer , he might not have used it at all !

Should I drive across to Elegant and demand that he installs one now?

i don't no whether this model comes with a proper xover or a small box type xover, but if this is a compo then there will be some type of xover, search it the installer must have hidden it somewhere.

Ok but the ICE installer I had been to did make a search but could not locate it. Maybe I can go and ask Elegant where did he hide them? And if he also doesnt locate them, can i ask him to put one now. Will he be able to put the correct JBL crossovers now?

you should go to elegant (is it lajpat nagar one) and ask him where are the xover, and if he says he had not installed them ask him, why ?.

if he had done some thing like that, he wont will be able to put the correct xover back.

@wanderernomad, the CS2165c has inline filters. It does not have a separate crossover 'dabba'. So the installer hasn't fooled you, don't worry

Some components have no LPF for the woofer and just a single cap for the tweeter that is fixed close to the tweeter.

Is it good or bad, that is not having a separate crossover? Meanwhile I have added a Pio 4 channel amp to power the front compos. rear 4" derive from the HU only as before.

nope, having a seperate crossover is just a matter of choice/convenience/bling.
as long as the power of the amp<=the rated RMS power of the speaker, you should be okay

It is not advisable to use both the speaker level and line level inputs at the same time.
