All THAT equipment ... with THAT HU ????

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......... Cant wait to get my car back!

Excvellent install as usual!!

Gunman.... on the 1 ohm thingy... these are SVC's right?... if so dont we need one more sub to get 1 ohm?? (I am going by the "they will see half" theory)

So how did you guys feed the speakers? 4ohms + 4ohms itself, with 140x2 to the front and 130x2 to the back?

More upgrades/expansions? What else is left?????

Like sk456, I was also wondering at the choice of HU. The owner didn't want an IVA200? Or is it that the owner wanted the VDP, and the VDP needs a Pio front-end?
The LRx 4.1K is used with 140W X 2 powering the fronts and 130W X 2 powering the rears.

The subs wired in parallel presents 1.333 Ohms final impedance to LRx 1.1K.

Gunbir (et al): Awesome! Phweeee-phweeeiooo! 7.0 on JBGMPI scale?

Though by itself the black piano finish is superb, the color does not fit in well with the interiors; it is a bit discordant. But, gore gore mukhde pe kala sa til!!!

I think now the owner of this beauty need enter his house for biological needs only.

when the plate to cover the wiring is installed it comes close to the cone of the 12" woofers. I would just like to give the woofers a bit of room. I am conservative so I figured 12mm would not make a difference to the owner of the car and would mean that the woofer's cone was completely free of any interference.

Look carefully, for God is in the details...

There is over an inch of clearance in front of the subs...

What you are missing out on... is the fact that the entire roof of the car is (now) finished in black, so when you look at the interiors, the Honda Beige & Black theme is followed through.

As you wrote it is 1 ohm load on the amp but it is actually 1.3333333 ohms

But after that you corrected it yourself.

LBM, whenever you post a speakers impedance do you state the exact (down to 7 decimals) measurement? No, you don't. So why the compulsive nitpicking here?

Actually, I'm quite sure you were confused about the wiring and made a mistake in assuming I was wrong. Once you figured you were wrong, you put up the above post because you don't want to admit you made a mistake.

And thats fine with me. Good Night.

I think if we wire 3 subs of 4 ohms svc then the final result will be 1.3333333333333( as the result will be going on we can round off it to 1.34)

But since you mentioned 1 ohms I though you missed the .3 some where.

I did not expected this from you my friend, anyways....

Awesome install. Very neat indeed!
Quick question: how much would one of those MDF floor-boards cost? Say for a Lancer's boot?

LBM, 1.34ohms = 1ohm beside you know quite well that these are NOMINAL impedances. Woofers particularly are quite inductive.

it could be the reflection of the glossy black surface which might be making the subs look close to the boards.... although it does look close to the boards here...

If Gunbir missed / did not bother to write 0.3333333333333....ohms does it make any difference to the sound in the car? I believe NO.

Its not necessary that three 4 ohms subwoofers wired in parallel will return you 1.333333333 ohms always, the value can vary from one brand / model to another. Even in this case the impedance of 3 SEAS subs is not 1.33333333 Ohms.

Anyways FYI the amplifiers are tuned according to the final impedance presented to it. Whether it is subwoofers / speakers, each one's impedance was measured using True RMS multimeter which you might notice in the install pics.
