Instead of measuring that at 20Hz - 20Khz (the way it's supposed to be measured), the power has been measured from 50Hz to 15Khz. Because the distortion would be much higher than 5% at those frequencies. So very conveniently, the measurement has been done in the middle band. And that too shows 5% THD lol.

This is a clear example of a marketing con job.
Thanks gurus, see these are the finer points they never ever tell you!

getting JBL 75.4 for 5600 without B/W, Blau MKII 4 for 6200 with B/W and kenwood 8403 for 6000 without B/W. which one is better option? My rear speakers are 4 Ohms and component are 2 OHMS should I replace GTO 936 with GTO 937 to get all speakers at 2 Ohms?

I am 100% sure that is a mistake. You cannot get that amplifier anywhere in the world with or without B&W at that price.

Hey, the cheapest 75.4 without BW would be 8k. This Amp usually sells at 8.5k -10k without BW and at the JBL store it's 13k. Correct me if I am wrong Samji.

Precisely the point. Try to find out the price in INR over the internet on shopping sites. Reach for the yellow pages and call up a few dealers. If you still find the price to be low enough to breed suspicion, think about it my friend

As you can see I'm from Indore and don't have direct access to car accessory dealers like you guys have(some of them have not even heard about the brands you all discuss here) . I had asked my freind to check out the prices in delhi. Initially I was also shocked and asked him to verify the price as I had checked the retail price from sahil and that was around 13000. I would also ask him to send two if it comes for 5600 . anyways I would appreciate if some one can suggest if I need to replace my JBL GTO936 with 937 so that both my rear speaker and front components can work on 2 ohms with 2ohms capable ampliier. is it going to make difference in sound clarity?

I don't think you should do it. Yes, it will make a slight difference, for the better but it's not worth the extra money put in.

Thank you Sam.. another question of mine was left unreplied. and I know that you are the right guru for this is adding amplifier a good idea if someone is not planning for subwoofer? will it increase the overall clarity of sound and bass output from component and coaxial speakers?

Yes, Yes. Amplifiers are used for better clarity and improved performance. Even if you don't plan a sub, drive your current speakers off an amplifier, it is a worth-it investment.

The fact that subwoofers mandatorily need amplifiers, should not make one believe that amplifiers are ONLY used to drive subwoofers or increase the boom.
