@ zak: he needs to amplify only the front comps with a 2 channel and 607 are rated at 70W nominal, a 100 + RMS X 2 would leave the power wasted.

@ B & T : thanks for simplifying.

Thanks panky
this is exactly what I plan to do. buy a two channel amplifer for my front component. still not convinced to connect both rear and front speaker to same channel though! monoblock hmmm I'll have to again visit some bigger city to get these. I could not even compare the sound of CS1204B and CS1204T as CS1204B was not available in mycity... :(

you car's ICE and cash level in your pocket is definately going to change when you keep checking ICE section . you would never enjoy the sound of ICE of others cars until the owner of that car is also caught by the infection called Team BHP.

@ vkhandelwal : buy a used old Sony 222 for app 1-1.5K, use them to drive your front comps. This would be wayy better than powering them off HU.

All the CS series that you mentioned above cater to different tastes. wait till the next meat, come here in delhi, make some good friends, drink, relax, buy the stuff, get it installed and make a safe musical (read dhinkchak) way back.

Ahhh....you'd be better off with that. I thought you were tight on budget.

Looks like Panky is the only person here trying to care for people's budgets.

Any major differences between the Blau GTA 475 and the GTA 480 ?
Both seem to be similar. Is one of them a newer model ?

I got quotes of 10K for the 475 and 7K for the 480 . Both from Blau dealer with B&W.

My Wagon R Lxi (petrol) consists:

*Pioneer HU DEH P 6950 IB (50WX4), direct sub drive, 3 RCA pre-outs (front+rear+subwoofer)
*Pioneer 4-way Rear Speakers (TS A6982S, 440 watts max power) in detachable boxes
*JBL 2-way front speakers (CS 2104, 90 watts max power)

Planning to enhance the sound effect with an amp and subwoofer preferably JBL or Pioneer. Any suggestions for a budget within 8k-12k is highly appreciated.

I got a quote of 12.5k with the following components:

JBL Amp CS 300.1 (6.5k)
JBL sub GTO 1202 D (3.9k)
Sub Box (1.5k)
Wiring kit (600)

Does it sound like a good combination and worthly priced ? Yet to check the prices of the same at national market for a grey quote.

Another doubt arises from the above combinations. CS 300.1 is a mono sub amp. Does it mean only the sub is connected to it ? If yes (as I assume) how about the other existing speakers ? Will it not be sounding the same as it is already ? Any amps that has 4.1 ( 2 rear, 2 front and 1 sub ) function ? Sorry for my ignorance. Did a lot of online searches but couldnt figure out how the complete amp function is attained. I usually enjoy music with a 30% on the front and 70% on the rear balancing. Help greatly appreciated.
