But that would be 'on-axis' only - a place you'd find impossible to get into!

Finally, after a prolonged session of transcendental meditation, I have come to the realization that underseat woofers can only work if they are in vented enclosures and that the vents MUST be backwards facing, not upwards or forward. Upward, as we have seen, will cause doppler effects, forwards will create transient intermodulation distortion (a very little understood phenomenon today) with the dangling legs of the aforementioned lady. Backwards the sound waves will bounce back from the tailgate in good phase and render the fullest joy of bass.
I hope that Low Bass Maker and clipto666 and vebmedal and gunshot will all be able to benefit hugely from these findings of my accidental transcendental, and make it into much prosperity for their futures, god bless.

It will be a good way for her to camouflage the sound

How touchingly modest. Unlike roakstaar and croakstar!

It was a clarification. Glad you found something 'modest' and positive in it.

Re: Underseat Subwoofers

I have noticed the under-seat subwoofer saves a lot of real estate in a 'sub-4 meter car' where space is at a premium. Installed the Pioneer-TS WX210A, in my Tata Nexon and realised slightly better mids. Not a whopping change though, but a good experiment nevertheless.
