I have recently switched from Android to Apple; previously with Android Auto the Teams messages were popped-up on the screen which is not the case with Apple Car play.

How ever Iam able to join the Teams meeting through Car play but the content shared in the meeting is not visible. Apple user who tried this feature, kindly share your experience.

Best regards:

Oh God, please no! I would definitely crash my car if I were to hear the dreaded Teams ringtone on my Car's console /speakers.

As it is, I am already quite depressed by Teams ringtone at inopportune moments:

Excellent video to highlight the current state of affairs for many folks. Installing Teams (and Zoom) on the phone was not one of my best moves by far. But then opening up the laptop, making sure the background at home was good enough for video calls was not easy every time. Thinking was I don't need to do video on phone, but didn't work that way

The dreaded Teams ringtone would go off even when I thought I was done for the day with someone on the other end saying "need you to join for a few mins pls" :Frustrati

But how is it in practice? In my previous jobs, one of my British colleagues, working out of London office, have been on calls multiple times when he was driving.

Just looked it up, it is the law over there:

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/...ulation/2/made

See 110(2): "No person shall cause or permit any other person to drive a motor vehicle on a road while that other person is using a hand-held mobile telephone."

Scheduling a meeting when someone's commuting or calling someone who's known to be driving all fall under the "cause" part I guess. But they do make a distinction between hand-held and hand-free.

When I was working there the corporate policies did mention not calling anyone not in office without first checking with them if it is OK to do so (via IM, or giving a missed call).

I couldn't relate to the video after playing it for the first time. I had to read the post once again.

I am vaguely familiar with the tone, although we use Teams. In our company nobody has Teams on the phone. In fact, I use it only on the desktop.

It is very rare in our company that one sends instant request to join a meet. It will be declined 99% of the time. First, I have to message in the group asking if people are free to join a meet. If all the required people agree, then I share a meeting link.

Any update if this has become available? Anyone using?

I have a peculiar prob.. as I drive back home, I do take calls on Teams on n off where I don't need to talk much, but my phone doesn't transmit to the car Bluetooth while on Teams. It's weird coz let's say I am on a Teams call and I get a regular phone call (& I cut the call), then the Teams call gets switched to car audio, but till the cellular call comes, the sound of the Teams call refuses to come on the car. Please note that on the Teams call it shows Bluetooth selected, but sound doesn't come thru from the car.. so my only choice is to use phone speaker which is even more dangerous as I need to keep the phone close to me to be able to hear properly.

I have a Kia Carens n use wired AA, but this issue occurs even if I don't use AA and connect phone thru Bluetooth directly.

Any suggestions/ solutions?

Thank you very much!

Vikram
