Hi Guys,
I have nearly completed my Install. All thanks to Ajay for recommending a fabulous setup.

My Budget has gone way beyond but I totally love it. Pictures have been clicked by B&T so he will upload them for you.

The install is not yet complete in terms of the Processor & the Head Unit. Currently I am using a Head Unit from my older car that is the Alpine IVA-W200.
I am receiving the IVA-202R today in the Evening.

The Install goes as follows:-
  • Illusion Audio Carbon Series ND 8.1 x 2 (Front & Rear)
  • Illusion Audio Carbon Series ND 5 (Front)
  • Steg QM 75.4x Amp (Front)
  • Steg QM 75.2x Amp (Rear)
  • Steg K2|01 Amp (Sub)
  • Ground Zero GZRW 12XD-AL (Sub in a Sealed Enclosure)
  • AIV Green Power & Ground Cables
  • Supra RCA Interconnects
  • Noise Kill Sound Deadening

As far as the other installs includes :-
  • Alpine IVA-W202R Headunit
  • Alpine KCE-415i iPod Video Interface
  • Alpine KCE-300BT Bluetooth Interface
  • Alpine PXE-H650 Processor (Yet To Come)
  • Alpine HCE-C200 F & R Camera System (Yet To Come)

The Install is extremely discreet in terms of looks. Tried to hide everything. The Boot only consists of the Subwoofer and the all the Amps are under the 2 Front Seats.

Once again I would like to thank Ajay (B&T) for this fabulous install. Also I would like to thank all of you for helping me out.

Thanking you,
Crazy Mumbaiya

Congrats Mumbaiya, when can we hear it? It is I think the first time someone tried an Illusion 3-way using Steg XO's. I am dying to hear this. When do we get a demo sir?

Well I will only demo the vehicle after the Alpine Processor is here which I am trying to get within a weeks time. The Alpine Head Unit does not have inbuilt Crossover Settings therefore the Front Speakers are acting like a Full Range Setup. More details can only be given by B&T as he can explain it properly.

I should thank you for managing with a partly, remotely co-ordinated install, and managing with the very little amount of time I could dedicate to overseeing it. But it has turned out really well. Full marks to Starline for the installation, considering it was their absolute first time!

The list of equipment has been provided by Mumbaiya; the hook up is as described-

Two channels of the QM75.4X drive the front 8" midbasses while the other two power the 5.25s and the tweets. The Illusion Audio first order passive crossover is utilised for the 5.25 and the 1" Low Fs tweeter while the 8" hands over to the 5.25" at 450 Hz, actively by use of Steg Audio Quality X-over Modules (AQXM Modules).

Another 2 channel Steg QM75.2X drives the rear 8" Illusion Audio Carbon component set.

The Steg K Competition Series 2.01 drives the Ground Zero GZRW12XD-AL dual 4 ohms 500 W rms subwoofer in bridged mode.

I have received PMs for the WIP pics and pics of the individual equipment, I'll post them shortly. Just have the pics of the system just after installation.

The Illusion Audio speakers had their U-pots painted in beige to match the door panel color. Likewise for the grills. Mumbaiya wanted to keep everything looking as stock as possible.

Front Doors:

Rear Doors:

Current Head Unit:

Sub:

Amps: (No thats not Michael Jackson kickin it )

The car was completely stripped and damped, flooring et al. There is not a whisper from the doors, even with all four 8" drivers playing without any high-pass. The parcel tray also comes down completely over the subwoofer enclosure without any rattles etc with the sub playing at full tilt. While it sounds excellent right now, time alignment with the processor and high-pass for all 8s will make for a world of improvement.

Great pictures Ajay. I am still confused as to how such a system is wired. I mean do you use the existing XO's that come with the 8.1 and add the 5.25" driver over the amplifier or how? What do those modules do?

Looks like a stealth install to me. Great job.
