It is not possible to identify any speaker correctly and judge it's quality without using your ears.

The human ears are the best and most critical test instruments.

I dont think so....

This is not my question ->

And by the power rating ? for example if a sub is rated less than 500 watts then it is a SQ sub, if between 500-1000 then a SQL sub and if more than 1000 then SPL.

Regardless of who's thread it is baba, we're a collective. You made a statement that I disagree with. That's all.

It isn't about you. Relax.

Don't think its possible to say anything about sound quality from any kind of specs of a speaker/amp/headphone. The only way is to use one's ears.

OT: Zucchero if you are looking for car audio that sounds anything like your avatar, you won't find it .

It will total depend on the driver used....and any reference driver to choose....

also with different subs there sensitivity, power handling...etc,etc will be quite different.

Zucchero paaji, it's like asking "is it possible to identify the tonal quality of subwoofer goin by the diameter of the sub". Answer is again "No".

LBM, the statement might imply that Pio 306C is an SQ sub; rated at 400W (following under the category of <500W)
