If you are either literate in electronics or have played around with circuits and kits for long with a good sucess rate ;), it will be easy to do this.

But leave it to the professionals in a service centre, 'cause if anything goes wrong, you might even comtemplate suicide depending on the cost of your HU.

can be done with any HU as long as the person who does it knows what he / she is doing or where exactly to inject the signals and the outcomes of it. as told before i have done this on an old Alpine as well as a few other home audio equipment.
