Interference in FM Radio while Blowing the HORN

Hey Guys,

I recently upgraded my ICE setup...now, when i play the radio (FM, AM) and blow the horn, i get a irritating disturbance from my speakers...this does not happen when the CD, DVD, AUX etc is playing...what gives?

My antenna is the glass embedded type (Elantra).

HELP!!

Check the grounding points and the horn relays. That'll sort it out in most cases.

Check the ground contact. It should solve it.

Guys,

I checked the horn relays & ground points...all is ok. Cannot seem to find the exact cause...the installer put a relay on the horn side & the interference reduced quite a bit...but not fully...

please suggest something...??

Stop using your mouth to blow your horn, honk instead.

Perhaps you could try a small-value capacitor across the horn side of the relay?

Also, see if a different pair of horns give the same problem?

Change Horn relay. Really this is the simplest solution.

FM Problems

Tried changing the horn...but to no avail...will try the capacitor method 2moro (monday 26th) & let u guys know...thanks for your support...

1 Important Query: If i connect the ground wire from the amps etc., directly to the battery negative terminal...will that be good or bad?

I second Navin. Seems like a relay problem. Looks like the relay is not taking the load of the horn completely. What horn is it and which relay?
