ICE my Swift PLEASE !!!

Hi All,

I justed upgraded from a Zen LX to Swift VXi (thank God for power steering !!!). I have been reading all the threads (I'm confused )
Gurus pls help me to ICE my new car !!!

From my old Zen I have the following
1. Sony 4ch Amp (500 watts- model # 555) + Carbon 2 ch Amp
2. Pioneer Sub 800 Watts in a box (Box made by Anwar (Koramangala)
3. 2 Oval 4-way 450 watts Pioneer speakers (not sure of the model no.)

I have read most of the advice given by you Gurus', I want some help from the experienced Gurus out there.

1. What stuff do I need to retain out of the above ?
2. Can I put GTO607C in front & Back, if yes then can I fit only one pair of tweeters & are they enuf? (since in the previous threads you have suggested that 2 pairs of comps give lot of treble)
3. Which HU ? I have Pio 5950 costing Rs. 5,750 in mind

Most of the time its just me and 1 passenger in the car. I prefer different kinds of music depending on my mood, but not at very volume. I am more inclined towards SQ. Based In Bangalore, Budget = 20K

Really appreciate the effort to educate me on the similar previous threads posted. But please understand that I need to know as this is specific to my car. As i have certain stuff that I want to retain if possible (to save on cost !!!). I may not know much abt this but I know this - There are many types of audio equipment available out there, so you can choose any combination of these and the results are going to differ in different cars.

So please I urge the Gurus to help with what I got than to suggest me to go thru previous posts !!! (BTW I have already done that )

As already suggested by others, use the search feature in the forum. Read the current and existing posts and do some research. And if it still leaves some query then use an existing thread to post your query. You can not keep opening threads on the same subject over and over.

Thread closed.

First you have to decide what you want? The components you have are not the best but can be used for real fill and/or as a temporary solution till you upgrade.

For example (just one option) you could spend the entire 20K on a HU (7K), Amp (7K) and front componnet speakers (6K) and use the Pio speakers and Sony amp for the rear.

HU: Pio 6950 (7K)
Amp: Pio 6200 (7K)
6" component Speakers: JBL/Illusion/Hertz: 6K

Now get a MDF plank and stick the 6x9 on them then stick the sub in the boot and run them of the Sony 555 amp (2 channels for the 6x9s and 2 channels bridged for the sub); now use the 6200 amp bridged for the front components. However if your sub is a DVC then use the 555 for the sub and the 6200 to drive the 6x9 and front components.
