crutchfield is horribly expensive, you may like to try etronics.com; ebay (though risky but real good deals)!

avoid sonix electronics by all means, and if you still insist, dont buy from their own website (however lucrative that might seem!) rather buy from ebay and use PAYPAL, atleast you'll be covered under buyer protection program and get an instant refund in case of non delivery/DOA.

etronics.com (used twice - PERFECT); ebay.com (if used with due care); walmart.com (if you find what are you looking for!)

Well unless you're stuck up on the bluetooth the Alpine 9887 is superior.

@ gunbir, can you tell the price of Alpine 9883?
I bought it on saturday and I am yet to pay for it, so want to make sure the dealer is correct in his pricing. (He said, he will offer 3% discount from MRP)

Both are good HUs. You won't go wrong with neither. Baaki brand preference etc... Is your choice.

Have you used any of these brands' HUs earlier? Then it's user interface will be comfortable for you. If I was in your position, I would choose Alpine.

Hi Speedzak,

I have only used my current Pioneer 5850 before this - and an older Pio model before this. I think I can get used to interfaces. I am looking for good SQ. Just wondering if the higher voltage preouts of the Clarion wins over the 9883.

Its retail is Rs 14790, but i think your dealer can easily stretch that discount to 5%.

Cheers!!
