Audio Upgrade for Civic 1.8V AT

Hi every1, I am from Delhi and I have bought new civic 1.8V AT recently. I wanted to upgrade the music system on the car but still want everything to look stock. I dont listen to very load music but i enjoy rich and clear sound something like a Bose home theater. What are my options?

Welcome to TBHP, manu7781.

A very nice sounding stock-looking system is not difficult to get done.

Some questions:
1) What is your budget?
2) Do you want to retain the stock Head Unit, or would you like to upgrade it? (This is a bit expensive, as in addition to the new HU, you will need to buy a fascia replacement also, which can be a bit expensive. I do remember a member who switched to a Double-DIN HU with just a little modding of the fascia. Let me see if I can find the thread.)
3) Are you OK with adding a subwoofer in the boot? There will be a bit of loss of boot-space, but the sub-box can be made so it is removable easily.
4) Are you ok with mounting an amp (or amps) on the back of rear seat/somewhere in the boot? (Asked this since you mentioned you wanted to retain the stock look).

Take a look at this thread: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/ask-gu...k-25k-30k.html
(You will get an idea about what you'll likely need).

Dont worry...we'll soon change your perceptions!

Are you looking forward to install a theatre kinda system in your car or you look forward to that clarity ONLY?

I hope this doesn't go the way of ST's Civic. He started with a budget of 15K I think and ended up spending 1.6lakhs+ if I remember rightly. :-)

All you audiophiles, here's another lamb for the slaughter. ;-)

I think you can easily get a system that will outperfrom a Bose system.

Use your stock HU.
Upgrade your front and rear speakers to Infinity, Illusion, Hertz, or Boston or Polk (budget 15-20K)
Add a subwoofer from Infinity, Image Dynamics, (budget 10-15K)
Add a single 5 ch. amp like the Audison Srx5 or a 4ch+mono combo like the JBL 75.4+601.1 (budget about 25-30K).
Add some good wires, damp the doors and trunk etc... (budget 10-15K).

I have tried to answer the question u asked.
1. Budget is 50K +. I want to build this system in modular way, adding up equipment over period of time.
2. want to keep the original HU. the whole interiors should look as if nothing is changed.
3. i want a sub in a enclosure than can be removed if more space is needed.
4. i am OK with amp being installed in boot.

Sanchit, I think your ICE is being discussed on this thread:

Please do not hijack this thread or post the same query on multiple threads. Thanks.
