see, being a TBHPian you have certain advantages.... I can definitely help you with prices of grey market in Delhi. But I suggest you PM SAM for some discount on the list prices and get your stuff with B&W in case you are not on a very very tight budget. It also makes sense, as in case something goes wrong say after 2-3 months you can get hold of someone. I've also bought my speakers + Bass Tube etc with B&W.

The prices that you are getting in Lucknow are way high even for B&W. Do let me know and I'll help you on this.

yeah i know im getting cheated out there but what to do?? its all with B/W but still the prices are very high, i do not trust other dealers here panky because of the FAKE items readily available in the market. dealer is giving me a max of 15% discount if i buy everything from there. As far as buying from Delhi is concerned i can just buy the Amp and the wiring kit from Delhi but still I will have to get the bass tube from this dealer

So finally after a bit of more research i got hold of some much better prices:
blau gt4 (Rs 5000) OR JBL CS 60.4 (Rs. 7300)
Pio 12" Sub in a Encl. (2600 + 700)
JBL CS2165C (Rs. 3.8k approx)
Boss or Boston (dunno exactly) Wiring (Rs. 500)

How are the JBL comps.. 2165C?? I mean to ask whether they are worth the money or should I only consider GTO 607C (Rs. 5800) , I am getting all this with B/W but the guy said that he has to order the JBL stuff from his distributor so it'll take a few days to get them therefore i can't even have a demo session with the three configuration which I have sorted out :

1] gt4 + 12" Sub + 2165 = 12600

2] 60.4 + 12" sub + 2165 = 14900

3] gt4 + 12" sub + GTO 607c = 14600

Please rate the above according to your experiences and knowledge, because I plan to get one of the above configurations (Though I wont say any further additions are not welcome... all the suggestion are most welcome ... ).

Reading from most experiences i got to know that without B/W does not give any problem but personally i would not like to jump into it. I'd be very grateful if anyone can suggest better prices with B/W in DELHI (Anywhere in Delhi )

Thanks
Gaurav

P.S. : Panky Bhai thanks very much for the valuable time otherwise it would have had been just the boom in my setup and the SQ would have had been totally ignored and yes finally decided that I just need SQ .

On popular demnds....I hereby surrender the official grey market dealer tag to my dear friend LBM.

Serious note : Beanstalk, whenever you are in Delhi, make sure you meet LBM once. He can help you in a much better way than I can. He has plenty of sources in Karol bagh, where he used to frequent before he upgraded.

But make sure he doesn't lock you into the back-seat of his Swift.

lol. That is one demo better avoided, unless you're too lured by butter chicken and Appy.

And about your choices, I've heard the 60.4 + GT4-12 + 607 combo, very good VFM, I should say.

That would kill your budget, but LBM sure will get you out of the fix.

P.S: Mods, sorry, the edit option is having some problems on my browser (doesn't save after clicking the button), hence the second post.

Budget now 25K and still confused

Now its been many months since I last posted in this thread. and YES this time a bit of increase in the moolah available. 25 K in total.

Things i have decided upon:

GZ entry level sub around 5k
Illusion electra 6.1 around 6k (Dunno whether i should bother checking out the rainbow compos as well)
wiring - 1.5k
problem im facing is: What Amp??

Should it be a Mono + 2ch for compos (Is it actually possible is the first question I should ask in a meager 13k)

If the above is not possible then what are my options with 4Ch Amps.

Kindly suggest
Cheers

P.S. Mods kindly change the thread title (25K budget - amp suggestions) or move this to a new thread you find it suitable.
