What speakers for my Indica?

Its high time that I change the front and rear speakers in my Indica. I have JVC HU (4 yr old model) which works well. Current speakers are some junk "American Acoustics", never heard of it, right?

I am looking for speakers set around 4K-5K budget.
Should I replace the plastic tray to wooden for rear speakers.

I am not looking for a shouting and screaming setup, need crystal clear sound with good bass.

Please suggest the setup and any good shop in Gurgaon, Haryana

I've heard american acoustics....not too good, but OK for the price.

As you are on budget (I assume), go in for front and rear JBL coax without amp, and u'll be just fine.

If you can extend your budget, we have plenty of options.

Panky,

JBL will good for me, I can extend my budget, but it does make any sense to invest too much on my 88K km driven car. I am just waiting for safari 2.2 and will spend bulk for the bucks there.

As I have planned to keep my Indica, instead of selling, I just want a decent setup. Couple of more questions..

1. What about the tray, should I changed it to wooden. current is stock plastic.
2. Should the whole wiring be changed to remove any loose wiring issue?
3. What is the better option, Front Dash speakers or front door speakers?
4. My current setup is such way that I can remove the rear tray with front speaker still running. Does this affect the SQ for rear speakers, having more joints?

Well Bharat, whether it makes sense on not it solely depends upon you. I have a 99K ODO reading Indica with a better set up.

1. Let it be OEM. No difference.
2. Speakers would come with the wires. No issues, because no amp.
3. Front door would be good, if you want you may add tweeters at the dash.
4. See if you run it purely on front speakers, there would be a difference yaar. ~Common sense~ No,having more joints will not affect SQ in your set up.
