The off-the-shelf ports/vents are an elegant way, but there can be DIY Q&D ones too. Just take a regular port (off-the-shelf or even a piece of 3" PVC pipe), and vary the stuffing in this (old socks work just fine! :p) to get the right 'lossiness'.

If you're using old socks, wash them first. Or you'll get smell in bass-bursts.
