i am having a sony xplode mp3/wma reciever CDX-GT210
I want to buy a pair of pioneer oval speakers probably 4 way for my wagon r vxi without any tweeters in wooden box at rear
i want to know the prices in kerala and what is de opinion of "gurus" about the combination
i am currently having a 10 yr old 3 way speakers in my old maruti 800 ,so going for a change
will that reciever hang up with such a huge power 400 plus watts ?
please help asap

Nope no problem at all. 400watts is just the peak power. the rms would be much lesser like around 75W.

There are better brands available than sony/pioneer. Example: JBL/Illusion audio/blaupunkt/Alpine/Hertz. Give them a listen before finalising.

Also, let us know your budget and we could give you suggestions based on that.

my budget is not more than 4k
pioneer 4 way is available without warranty only in my place for 2950rs (warranty piece is available only in 3way oval)
so if there is a guaranteed brand around this price,i would be delighted,dont know the availabilty in my city though
also please let me know the price of 4 way with warranty
consulted many shops,all are against sony,and all supports pioneer and says that it wont give me any trouble even without warranty !!

Pio 4-ways aren't that bad. I have them fitted in my Lancer and they're decent. Compared them with a JBL GTO937 during fitting, and somehow liked the Pio's better (don't kill me :D)
But I agree with vid.. there are better options. Check out the Illusions if you can... they're sweet!
