Okie! so that confusion is over! next: which sub does the JBL GTO1204BR sub use, coz it looks almost similar to the GT-5 sub.stupid:

AFAIK, GTO1204BR/BP all have the same sub (Not sure about which one):

It's obvious - all products that have the nomenclature GTO1204XX have the GTO1204 subwoofer inside.

All products with the nomenclature CS1204XX have the CS1204 woofer inside. The CS1204 was earlier known as the GT4-12.

We released the second GT5 product into in Indian market today. Expected shelf availability date: 18th October 2007.

The GT5-963 is a mid end 6X9 speaker priced at Rs. 3990/- per pair, including all taxes. I was very pleased with the output. Let's see who can post a listening experience here.

FYI - certain dealers may try to palm this off as latessss product at a premium price - be careful. It is a product positioned lower than the GTO937. While it may be difficult to get a discount since the product is new, it may not be impossible. ;)

The erstwhile CS3196 has been discontinued.
There is still stock of this product in certain markets, expect a HEFTY discount on this product - Good Luck.

The 963 looks great, very much like the 937!

I personally never liked the pale looks of 3196, they looked sad.

Great facelift indeed, looking at the pricing, I'm sure it will be welcomed with arms wide open!

By the way, I found some information about GT-5s while trying to know more about them:

JBL GT5 loudspeakers
The new tweeters are provided with an elaborate titanium coating for crystal-clear, linear treble. Thanks to the angled and rotating UniPivot mounting, the treble reproduction of the coaxial systems remains superb, even for unfavorable installation positions. The component systems are equipped with outboard crossovers and are supplied with comprehensive installation accessories for the edge-driven 25mm tweeters.

JBL car audio - GT5 loudspeakers
Exceptional in this price category are the intricate ventilation grilles in the loudspeaker housing. They guarantee perfect ventilation and effective heat dissipation from the voice coil. The result is minimized harmonic distortion at high output power. Of course, all GT5 loudspeakers are also equipped with our patented PlusOne diaphragm. By means of complex mounting of the rubber seam, JBL maximizes the effective diaphragm area and thus achieves a higher output level in the bass range.

So is 937 still a better buy than GT5-936 ?

According to my understanding, definitely yes - GTO series products are always better than GT-5 series, since the latter is targeted at more VFM oriented installs.

I do not know about better buy, but it is definitely a better product. :)

Is there going to a GT5 Subwoofer with ready made Enclosure? Similar to the CS1204B?

The CS1204B is the only sealed box we have. As of now, there are no plans to create a GT5 sealed enclosure.
The CS1204B will be a current model for a while.

Sam, can you give us (or tell us where to find) Indian MRPs (with bill) of all JBL ICE products?

Will be of immense help to many I am sure.

You can find almost all products for sale at jbl.rediff.com - they have the MRPs listed on them.

@ Sam, the popular 75.4 is not listed there :(

Sam,they have only half of the stuff listed there and fxaudio site also doesnt mention prices

mentioning prices and other offers are very gud marketing things cos they help users to make their mind cos i'm sure some people might just think "this product must be costly" while there are no prices listed
