Hi,

I have an '06 Baleno Vxi. I really wanted to spice up the ICE on it but I was really in a hurry to get the car out of the showroom and I am not happy with the installation. Here is what I have on it

Kenwood MP4029
2 JBL GTO 937 at the rear
2 JBL GTO 527 at the front
1 JBL JBL CS1204T sub in the boot

I hate this AMP and i dont even remember the model number but its that red Sony Xplod 500 watts one. I am planning to put the Xplod on my M800 which is the family's work horse as I am terribly dissatisfied by the performance of these speakers on the Baleno. I know its not the speakers or the sub but its the amp. could you guys suggest me a 4 channel AMP and mono block that I can go for. My budget is 20k to 25k

Hi ron, welcome to the ICE section.

You may consider shifting the 527 co-axials to the 800 and getting a pair of components for your Baleno, GTO607s for example (6,000-6,500/-).

With the remaining 19k, you may install a good 4 channel amplifier (GTO 75.4) for about 12k, wiring 4-5k. The remaining amount can be saved up for a good monoblock later (301.1 for example). You can run the 937s off the HU in the meanwhile.

quick find a JBL CS 300.1 monoblock if you can. For 10K only the Pio D510 comes close. add a GT5 4 ch. amp from JBL or the Blau GT4 or Pio 6300 for the front and rear. that still leaves you with 7K for new front components and RCA wire.

Hi Navin and rocksterraghu,

Thanks a million for your suggestions. I badly want a monoblock in my car coz I know the sub is really capable provided I give what it wants. I think I will go with Navin's suggestion coz that pretty much says about what I really want in my car. I am also very much positive about rocksterraghu's suggestion on the JBL GTO607 I enquired about them and I had a chance to see one of my friends running that. It is pretty good.

Thanks once again guys!!!

Cheers!

Ron
