So use the car without a spare wheel? Or use the spare wheel without the car?!! Or use the sub as spare wheel???
Then, you better get your tyres 'puncture-proofed'.

Actually the idea is to have your cake and eat it too... The spare wheel stays as does the sub.

Mathur saab, there are a few installations where the sub is placed in the spare wheel slot and the spare wheel is smartly placed alongside. You can check out the Sound off and Show off section.

By the way, you missed out one weird combination. It is funny and difficult to post on a forum like this.

I thought there was a condition that boot space should not be encroached....?
Then why not fit a sub in a box of equivalent size?

It isn't. The wheel stays in its place and the sub inside the inverted wheels cavity, like this...

and here its finished, WITH a 10" sub and the spare wheel

1. that must be heavy with a 25mm MDF board, sub and amp to be lifted with one hand so that the other hand can lift the spare wheel out.

2. why are the car seat belt locks in the trunk? dont the passengers need them.
