Ice For Hyundai Accent

Hi All,
I recently bought a Hyundai Accent. I went for suggestions for an ICE to a reputed dealer. He has suggested me the following
1) Panasonic front panel for 11,500 (7 color display with a fundu WOW effect).
2) Front RockGord speakers
3) Rear Hertz speakers.
The total package along with plank and fitting he is quoting for Rs. 20,500.
I want approval/go-ahead from the gurus on this forum. Would really appreciate any help/guidance on the same.
Amit

i own an accent too. so here is what i'll suggest you -

1. Components for the front. they make a HUGE difference.
2. Get a 4 channel amplifier
3. if you are cuting the rear parcel tray, do not use the orignal one. it makes too much of vibrations. get a well made mdf one. though you'll lose the auxilary brake light.
4. you can save some money why opting for a pioneer headunit(grey)
5. and the best suggestion - since you are in bangalore, get in touch with satya aka blueraven. you have no idea what you are missing.

Welcome to TBHP ICE, amitlead!

1. Panny does have some good sounding HUs. Which model is this? And uh, no comment about the display You do know that for 11.5K you have quite a few options open from Pioneer (with USB/iPod), Alpine, JVC (with USB) & Blaupunkt, right?

2
. You mean Rockford Fosgate, I guess. Ummmmm... did you listen to them? Please do, before you buy them. You do have other options from Hertz, JBL, Alpine etc. if you want to listen to other makes before you finalise.

3. Ideally, go in for the same series and make in the back, as in the front. The sound signature will be the same.

See if you can get the model names and the split-up of the prices.

Hi Amit, I think most things have been covered already. I would just like to tell you that if SQ is important, you can compromise on the bling factor in the display for better amplifier/speakers. Just suggesting.
