OVERALL THIS A NICE SYSTEM BUT YOU NEED SOME SERIOUS INSTALLERS AND HIGH END SPEAKERS TO HEAR "THAT" DIFFRENCE WHICH A 24 DAC CAN MAKE AND OFCOURCSE WITH THE IMPRINT

Congratualtions for your Alpine 9887, it is surely one of the best HU's at its price.

What amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers are you using with it and which car do your own.

This is old news here. I dont know about India but I think I was one of the first on TBHP to have got one. I purchased mine on the 10th September and installed it on the 13th.

Since I don't have any idea about ICE..let me take the liberty and ask what so special about this head unit?

ive surely heard that Alpine 9887 is a nice HU when compared to Pioneers,clarions etc,but i never came to know what features it has inside :p if someone can clear this out for some of us.

It's a really nice-sounding HU, at a nice price. Alpine's current flagship unit (of non-DVD units). It supports Audyssey's IMPRINT tech for automatic setup/tuning of sound for each seat (additional SW and HW needed). Lots of setup, tuning and connectivity options, if you want to really go to town with your ICE. 24-bit Burr Brown DAC, etc. etc. More in the linky below.
