A new surprise for 2008 - Guess who's back?

ha, looks like the SQ boys in the house will now have their panties in lots of knots trying to get their hands on something completely new
HK returns with a promise of freshly engineered, beautifully built, 100% pure SQ amplifiers. Classic? You betcha.

Chins up, boys, tongues back in your mouths. And wipe that saliva off while you're at it.

Expected sometime in 2008. Availability: Hard to get.

Wow!! That's good news!
Gimme gimme more! Gimme gimme more!

Is it a limited edition run? With HK's attractive pricing of their products, I hope these things are going to be hot too.

Yes! We need more details. No worries or hurries! Take your time, but give it out when you can.

Hi gunbir , i was looking for this kind of option , is this model now available in India and if so whats the cost involved ? Did you get a chance to listen to this HU ? Or is there any feedback on this HU that you have heard ?

I personally think that a DVD player with USB Connectivity and Supporting DIVX codecs is the best option and should hold ground for quite sometime.

HK has built car amps in the past. In 1987 my boss has bought an acura legend into which we fixed 3 HK CA 260 amps along with MB Quart speakers and an Alpine HU.

HK returns...
Boys, when I say Hard to get - I mean don't expect Car Accessory shops at Minister Road, JC Road, Lajpat Road and Milan Subway to offer you harman/kardon amplifiers lol. You will not be able to buy these off regular shelves for sure.

Only specialty dealers. A handful.

to be honest it was his wife's idea (birthday present I think). she paid for it, I chose the components and did the install (yes, those were the days when I could contort my body to fit under a car seat).

My boss had an interest in audio and had NAD powered baby Maggies (SMG) in his living room and Adcom powered Klipsch Fortes in his basement.

Hi Hellstar, I haven't come across this specific HU per se, but I have used other JVC HUs that sport similar features and they all work well. The JVC AVX-800 is an HU you can consider; has built in screen, USB, DiVX etc

Those HK amplifiers look unbelievably awesome! I've been scrolling this page up and down, drooling away to glory.
