that is exactly what i was saying. before you upgrade it is better to conclude if the upgrae is going to be worth the effort.

2 12" woofers have a Sd of about 600-650cm2. One 15" has an Sd of about 430-450 cm2. so if both have the same Xmax then you get about 33% more air displaced. that will be a resoanble increase in SPL capability but if the 15" has a higher Xmax than the 12" then you might not gain that much.

Hmm Ground Zero SPL sub...was talking with Ajay Bhai few day back he mentioned for a budget SPL install one can go for these subs.

:: Ground Zero :: Subwoofer / GZRW 30SPL

Priced around 16-17k price range. Not bad for a SPL sub.

Expecting to hit somewhere around 150+ db. Would be putting in 3000 Watts RMS.

Ya, i too met Ajay at the AV Mumbai expo. And if i am not mistaken the palio was playing this same sub. I hope i am right.

But 16-17k it certainly because a good SPL with tight budget.

Chalo aapne bola.....toh will consider this sub too

Hmm they are quite different from those. They are priced 60k each and rated 4500 watts rms. But these babes are those on budget

Have you not finalize the Sub kya ?
