Ok, point taken. I'll stay away from them So it's still between JBl, Hertz, Illusion and Boston Acoustics.

Anyone with Hertz DSK-165s in Delhi (preferably South) willing to give me an audition? It's high time I get some ICE, so pretty

I really would, but it's too far for me to drive back, especially after a couple of drinks!! And not to mention, most people there would probably have better gear than the entry level series I am looking at!! Thanks, though!

I will PM Austere_sly.

Don't bet on it! Even on Team-BHP there are people who have NO stereo in their car or have the cheapest possible system! And anyway, the point is not how much you're looking to spend, it's about what you enjoy!

In rock and metal, there is lot of use of frequencies which are 60Hz+ like the base guitar, and the metal guitar which is midrange.
I suggest you lookout for something which can give you clean 50-200Hz.
Gurus, any comments on the above! Which brand, series is suitable for the same?

Will help to narrow down the choices if one needs to audition and to purchase. For rock and sub generes (if one may call that) the speakers need not be laid back but dynamic and not exactly bright..require valuable inputs. Thank you.

If you can make it nothing like it. There will be a lots of variety for you to chose from. Also try leaving south delhi you might get a good deal somewhere.

JBL has a predominantly rock pedigree.
