Hey, never met Sam but he really is a nice guy. Look at his profile!! Anyway, my friend bought a pair of JBL Compnents (not sure of the model, its the 5.25" I think) for just Rs.2,800 from Indus Automobiles, they are a prominent Maruti Dealer here in Kerala.
I told him not to go ahead but he did anyway and when I heard them in his Swift (connected to a 4 channel Sony amp), it actually sounds really nice!! Felt tempted to get one for my Aveo but not doing it immediately.

I guess the MRP is 4950/-. And actually that's a bit hesitant towards those that are available.

ICE with JBL speakers

I got a quote from one of the dealers in Trivandrum.
It consists of Pioneer DEH-P4050UB, JBL GTO937(6x9 Coaxials), CS 2104(4 inch Multielement Speakers with parcel tray at the back for a price of 11,600/- . Does this sound a good offer?
And do you think it's good to go for a GT5-963 instead of GTO937. Specifications seems to point to the fact that GTO937 is a better product. But I want to know since GT5 is a later series probably with advanced technology is a better bet?.

Any advice is appreciated..

The GTO937 is a superior product to the 963. There's no doubt about it.
With the Head unit for 11,600 seems like a decent deal to me.
