You could also experiment with the replacement coils of old irons and toasters (wire over mica). Since you have an LCR meter, measure the wire resistivity, so that you can easily calculate the length of wire needed to make a resistor of a certain value.

If you can't find ceramic, try with glass rod/tube used in chem labs.

Not yet Abhi. so much happened that i could'nt upgrade anything. you know.

upgrade? yeah sure. there is one. lol. i have installed a new volume control knob on my pio 6850 which gave way.

The HU looks almost new now

and i thought you upgraded to HXD2 or P80.

abhibh, i don't know who told you that i upgraded but the little birdy was right. I'm sorry i didn't tell you this earlier. wanted to give you a surprise.

So here it is.

I upgraded my HU to P80 3-4 months back. i thought we would meet up but we didnt so i decided ill tell you.

im posting a few pics.

I still have my old HU with me.

I really like how this HU sounds. With TA it sounds really nice. Im gonna add a Mono and im done with upgrading for a while. Im happy with my Bull components as they sound so nice now.

will post a review soon.

OMG so the little birdy was right. P80 damn man...

Congrats Dr. ClipHertZ. So how about a comparison between both the HU's . I bet those MIGHTY BULLS must be sounding very much detailed now.

@Gill i think he just upgraded HU, he's gonna get mono as he mentioned. If he would have upgraded something else the little birdy must have told me by now.

So 15" Hertz ported or sealed ? I hope its sealed this time!!!!

nice upgrade is it p80rs or rsII, and what all other equipment, fronts,rears,amps.
the only pics i able to see of this install are of hertz sub and p80. post some pics and some daylight pics of the hu

Bulls are sounding great. i dont think ill change them soon.
its ported right now but im gonna build a sealed enclosure soon. I prefer sealed.

After reading Gill's thread (Alpine 9887) , i find it rather shocking to see the P80 after you were thinking of getting it very soon. But then its an amazing HU.

What's the Difference between the rs and the rsII?
