Ok. You don't have an amp! That makes things easy.
There're 2 options to go ahead. First of all, hammer a fact in your head that this setup you're planning will not sound any good without an amp. In fact, you need a sub too. That means, You'll need atleast a 5 channel amp or a 4 channel amp plus a sub amp. You'll have to run all the speakers off the amp excluding the centre channel which can run from it's own amp. That also means a lots of Vitamin M.

So, here comes the last question.
How much is your budget? (wicked)

in that case the dash wont accomodate a center speaker and modifications to the dash will ruin the dash. better off with phantom center.

He can go for the single din centre speakers too. They fit neat and can get quiet loud too. Yes, I'm talking of that Alpine one. The best thing is it comes with it's own amp. So only a 4channel amp is needed to get his setup up and running other than the sub.

Verna has a two DIN Setup on the dash board , but the JVC KD AVX33 HU has an over sized front plate to accommodate the display so, it seems that the DIN sized centre speaker will have to go after all.

I happened to see the HU on display at the recently concluded Vaahan Yaatra. th guy at the stall was telling that the pricing of the HU to be around 40 K INR I laughed my way out of the stall ! but more importantly the front plate seems to be considerably larger that the MEXR1 that i have currently ..

20k! There we go!
Retain all the speakers you have currently in your car. Get a 4channel amp for 8k or so. You can look for Kenwood, Pioneer, or better grab that JBL 75.4 which is for sale in Market place. Get a boxed subwoofer or a bass tube. Bass tube will do find because it does good job in Movie soundtracks. It works out cheaper too.

Mono amps are expensive
Get 2 4ch amps.
One amp powers the 4 speakers
Other amp powers sub in 2 channels and center speaker in other 2. however you will have to mount the center speaker in the rear parcel tray

one option is a center speaker behind the rear view mirror. I have seen atleast one install that had a rear view mirror with an integrated center speaker (I think it was a JVC) but the audio was tinny at best.
