I want to upgrade my current double DIN HU (Pioneer MP5000 - its a simple CD + cassette HU) to something better. What I want is (in order of priority):

- Decent sound quality (good enough for JBL components, Pio subwoofer powered by separate Sony amps. might upgrade sub to image dynamics at some point + amp to match)
- Clean, simple design (not too many buttons, no funky colours or designs, preferably a glass+metal look)
- Ability to play mp3 cds (although I mostly listen to regular audio cds)
- Bluetooth kit
- Iphone/Ipod integration

Thats all. I dont need any DVD functionality, since most of the time its only me in the car and its quite hard to watch movies and avoid donkeys at the same time!

Looking for your suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Alright, so I was being lazy and not bothering to do the research myself. I've narrowed it down to the following 2 choices:

Pioneer FH-P8000BT

Pioneer USA - Pioneer FH-P8000BT

Clarion WXZ466MP

Clarion Australia | WXZ466MP

Any idea about availability and prices? And please choose between these.

The clarion will cost about 20k (internet prices from australian website). The jvc avx looks like a better option though. The clarion might sound better( gurus please confirm)

Australian prices are quite often higher than prices from India.

An American store on the other hand would probably show savings of upto 40%

Go to EVO in Cambridge Layout. Owned and managed by our Bhpian Blueraven aka Satya. I think he should hook you up with whatever you need. I got myself the AVX800 for Rs.23k earlier this month. AVX814 was similarly priced. Prolly dropped Rs.1k.
