Keep It Simple

Dear BHPians ,

I wanted some advice on a very basic setup: for swift
HU : Sony CDX-GT460US or Po 7950 around 5000 (w/b)
JBL 607 ( front ) around 2000 (w/b)
JBL 937 ( back ) or even sony 9 inches speakers around 2600 (w/b)

Prices are sourced from Noida car shops sec 16

What do you gurus think... are the prices reasonable , also would really appreciate if some one can recommend a good installation guys. As i would also need to set up my reverse parking system.

music would be classical music & bhajans

Help
Thanking all of you guys in anticipation

Thanks

Thanks for the replies ... I had asked for a HU with USB , and was told it will cost around 5200 , i am sure that Sony CDX-GT460U is in this range , but will check again with vendor about Pio 7950 .

Can you guys Please explain the difference between these two HU Since both of them support USB .

Drop that Sony stuff buy atleast Pioneer Head Unit model depends upon your choice, if you dont have any plan for Amps then dont buy JBL 607 and 937 as headunits power is going to be very less to pump them, go for some entry level CS2165c front compos and CS2165 rear coxes.

Thanks for that useful piece of info AjayBiz..
I was planning to go for 937 along with 607c or 650c components with the Pio 5050 HU , but i guess now i will stick with the CS 2165 c + 937 combo

Pioneer 4050 and 5050 are around 6 to 6.5K. I paid 6.5 for 4050; but am now told that it is too much. YMMV.

4050 has usb and ipod controls and can even control blue tooth phones if you have a blue tooth adapter connected to the USB cable (adapter should cost around Rs. 250). I do not have a iPod or bluetooth phone, but USB pendrives are read just like other CD media.

Check the thread titled "new Pioneer HUs launched" on this forum.

4050 was launched just a couple of months back!!! I was charged 6.5 hardly 20 days back!!!

Methinks some people on this forum were quoted 5.5 in Bangalore - I am not sure - please search the forum and find the other thread. My guess is that you should be able to find it for around 5.7K, or even less w/o b/w. Depends on your luck.

Just FYI.. 5050 is around 6.3k in Delhi ...

Thanks hbaruas for the information, this will surely help me to negotiate and get a better deal ..

I am little curious on the reasons why most of the guys prefer Pio to a Sony System.
