I feel you need to find out which company stock mp3 player comes with and visit local car accessories shop and find remote for that, do trial in shop itself to make sure it works.

Else ask Toyota dealer for remote they might give you idea where to get it.

Regards,

Ravi.

Thanks Ravi. I tried with the dealer. They have no clue. One of the audio shops suggested its a panasonic HU (2din). but he was unable to suggest on the remote though. i went through some of the threads here and got confusing information as to which brand the HU is. i think toyota uses more than one brand of audio equipment.

Panasonic it is for sure, including the OE speakers, don't know beyond that, i am myself looking for bluetooth adapters and auxilary in for OE system, lemme know if you crack this one

remote i doubt, as it would need interfacing IR reception in the HU as well, check out the new innova to be launched, it will have the controls on the steering

This question was asked earlier by someone. Don't think that HU has Remote control provision - not even via rear connections. Check the manual that comes with the car.

Guys, yesterday I visited my accessories dealer 'Poona Motors' to buy lumbar support

Guess what, now after market steering mount remote is available for Toyota as well

It comes with all circuitry and interfaces, did not ask the price though, as it does not interest me anymore

Hope some of you will benefit

I think you have repeated the question in another thread. Here's the short answer "No"

Re: Need Help-Fitting remote control to the OE Innova music system

Hi - Did not find a separate thread addressing this. I have a 2014 Innova VX with the touch screen audio. There is an option for a software upgrade in this. Can you let me know if this can be done on the system itself connecting through my phone's hotspot? or does it need to be done by the Service Center...any assistance will help? Thanks

Check the HU Manual. It will mention software upgrade procedure. If none is mentioned, you have to go to the service center.
