Well My bro got it down from US & No I didnt pay him shipping
On a serious note, there were various shipping options(for delivery within US) some of the them were free & some were not.

Navin- Tweeters are mounted on Dash facing upwards. I was planning to call you but the install got done very late.

Congrats, Technocrat! The front stage now and before must be day-and-night huh?

With the 6.5" midbasses and the new HU, this must be one really great sounding Alto. Enjoy!

Excellent upgrade Techno.
How are the bigger mid bass sounding along with the tweeters and the cross overs from the 4.1

The illusions are really great speakers.
The HU looks good.
How about some pics of operation also.

Thanks Abhinav, The mid bass sound very good there is a huge difference over the earlier 4 inchers. Plus the damping is helping too. The front sound stage is good & the sound is very clean.

I have only these pics which I have posted on last page no other WIP pics.

Congrats Techno! Much needed upgrade and good that you decided to switch to 6.5 inchers at the same time!

Audition is due. When are you in Mumbai next?

And get an 8gb flash disk man. Load it up with 320kbps mp3s to enjoy the real power of the 785

Thank You Nishant

Yes it was indeed the right upgrade with HU + 6.5 Mid bass + Damping. The sub integrates very well too.

I am still finding new features every day, like the other day I accidentally found the folder list feature.

The remote is something which will take more time getting used to as I was so much used to the pio remote that I could operate it even if I was blind folded

How is it going in your getz did you get damping done as well?

No damping for me yet. Thankfully, Getz is quite solidly built and a very good car for ICE'ing. If I decide to keep the car for a longer time/if I have budgetary allowance, I will go for damping.

P.S. Techno, please PM me your number. I'll be coming to Pune next weekend. Would love to 'exchange' auditions.

@ Technocrat : Congrats on the ICE. How much did the Illusions cost you and where did you source them from?

Hey Techno. Congrats on the new setup.
Even I was thinking of this kinda setup since long, given that even I have an alto..

Let me know when you are meeting others for giving an audition, I'll try to catch up!

You went to B&T for the install, Is no one in pune good enough to carry out the installation work, considering it involves door panel cutting and all?

And can you share the breakup of the cost (components, wiring, install) involved?
