Typo, Navin. He calculated correctly but typed cft instead of sft - chhota mistake! Well, his wastage calculation was rough - one has to take at least a 4'x3' sheet to make the box, and that would be 12sft, not 9.

Oh my mistake it should be SQFT. CUft is for volumes...

Hmm the normal board is of 4 feet (48 inch) x 8 feet (96 inch). If we take out 14 inch from one side we have to cut 3 pcs and we will be left with a less than 6 inch pcs. That what I meant..

At 300 bucks I'm betting it's particle board. In case it is , it should not cost more than 150-200 max. And even if you do get it at that price , avoid it .

I upgraded from a particle board box to a MDF enclosure (from Driven) and I feel as if the sub is now running off a mono , such is the difference in SQ.
Plus the particle board gives out an obnoxious smell in summers
