totally.

You see we are just like engine vengine guys. YOu are all about 3 cylinder, 4 cylinder, 6 and so on and we are about 1 preout, 2 preout, 3 preout, 5.1 output

You ppl talk about how many BHP does a car produce and we talk about how much RMS an amp can give.

There is one commonality though, both end up spending big chunk of their hard earned money (or otherwise enjoyed through divine grace!) for their passion

the new Accord V6 will solve this issue. It will use 3, 4 or 6 cylinders depending on what it's chips tell it. I am sure the engine-vengine guys are salivating ove this.

would it be wise to wait for it till hits grey?
or rather buy 5039 at ~5K withoutB&W or spend 9K on 6539?.

Does having iPod support means it also has USB support? Or is it vice versa?

Also, what difference does it make between a 2 and a 3 pre out system?

BTW, any idea about the models and pricing for the Kenwood 2009 series?

A bit OT : I remember cadillac having a V 8-6-4 long ago, which was a major flop. I wonder if honda will have better luck

Unlike Cadillac, Honda knows what they are doing when it comes to engines. I'm thinking the Accord V6 won't be too bad.

Yes it has USB support too. Direct ipod means that when you connect your ipod to the USB port of HU the ipod will be recognized as iPod and not any other usb device. Then you can browse the songs, playlists etc. which are in your ipod and play them on HU.

In 2 there are Front and Rear / Sub switchable pre outs. Where as in 3 there are Front, Rear and Sub out. So you can power front / rear / sub all by amp unlike 2 preouts.

Kenwood 543 is around 7K with B/W appx.

iPODding

I decided to explore the iPOD compatibility of my New DPX MP5110U Kenwood HU (2 DIN) with all the iPODs - I found the following
iPOD shuffle & Nano - compatible
Touch- not recognized.
Maybe because the Touch runs on a more complex OS, and different file format.

iPod shuffle is compatible?
How?
What cable have you used?

I think the newer models support touch and iPhone too.
