Help Needed for LCD Display of Kenwwod Stereo

hi everyone ,

I have been having some problem with the Esteem Stock Stereo KRC-385 from the last few days.

The lcd display is working but does not glow can see something during the day but nothing at night.

I think the there might be 2 reasons for it:-

1. The LCD brightness is reduced some how if i pressed some wrong buttons.

2. I had opened the stereo some time back for some issue and I ,not for sure guess the lcd light has been giving the same problem since then.

Please Help.

The manual has nothing mentioned as such.

Thanks

The backlighting behind the LCD (EL / LED) is kaput. Quite likely the problem is in the front panel electronics. Get it checked at a Kenwood service center.

thanks a lot ..got it repaired and now works fine.

Another question:-

All car speakers are original 7 yrs old. I use the car generally to myself was thinking of upgrading the front speakers because they sound really bad.

The new speakers should take a little bit of base and a bit high volume .
Should i go for JBL 4" speakers or what esle. Please suggest..

Can i upgrade the speaker size as well. Im am novice at it.

And i have as told Kenwood KRC-385 unit which gives 40W*4.

I have a SONY Amp lying at home ,should i use that too.
