Cedia ICE'd

Hi Guys,

Just got my ICE setup with Blueraven in Bangalore. i recommend him to anyone who wants a nice setup with a quality job, as he takes a lot of care with what he is doing. now for the setup:

1. HU Pioneer 6050 - attached to my ipod
2. Rear Speakers - Polk Audio 691 6X9
3. Front - EFX HDX 67 components
4. Amp - 4 channel JBL GTO 504
5. Wiring - Scosche 440 watts amp wiring kit and speaker cables

I listen to mainly rock and hindi music and i really enjoy this setup. Would recommend EFX comps to all as they are pretty good for the price. (around 6k) The system sounds rocking and there is no jarring with a lot of depth and tight bass.

Isn't it the JBL GT5-A604 for the 4 channel variant?

Its a GTO series amp veb. Different from A604 and supposed to be better than equivalent GT5 series amp

Hi,

Had it installed with Satya (blueraven) in Bangalore...the whole kit costed me around 30 K with install and wiring...EFX is really really good for the price and wonder why people go for other brands at the same price point.

The 6050 is a good system and is worth the price. but the only difference i see from the 5090 is the sliding face and the EQ. So its your call. But personally I am very happy with it. The only problem that I have is that the display fades in strong sunlight.

I will be posting some pics pretty soon.

There are other differences. The biggest one is the display. The 5090 (or 5050) has only a 1 line display. While the 6050 has a three line display. Also I think there is one more RCA connection available in the 6050 (but I may be wrong about that).
As for the sunlight problem, yeah it's there. Try increasing the Contrast. (I don't remember offhand where you can do this, so let me know if you don't know how to and I'll look it up).

Different music tastes and preferences!

A split up of that 30k will help us better in understanding your setup.

What is the stock size for rear speakers in Cedia? Is there a lot of cutting/chopping job to fit in the 6X9s?

hi speed. yeah there is a bit of cutting required along with an extra mdf board required to fit in the 6X9. the stock position will only take 6" round speakers and since i did not want to add a sub i went in for this setup. I cant remember the breakup right now but i think its as follows:

HU 6090 - 9300
Steering remote - 1000
Wiring and install - 5000
Polk Db 691 (US Spec) - 6000
EFX comps - 6000
JBL 4 channel amp - 7000
Return of old Blau HU - -(3000)

Will post some pics soon enuf.
