Ice-ing Mr.RALLIART (Cedia)

For the moment I have replaced the stock headunit with JVC EXAD AVX2. The stock speakers arent bad except when it comes to playing the low frequencies.

Future plans :
In a month (Budget : 20K)
  1. Replacing front speakers with 2 way Enery Series from Hertz (will be powering from a ALPINE PDX or 545 Amplifier 4 Channel Ampl .)
  2. Adding the exisitng subwoofer from my Sienna to this car ie., ALPINE SPS 1242 DVC (will be powering from a ALPINE PDX or 545 Amplifier 4 Channel Ampl .)
In a year (Budget : 15K)
  1. Relocating the 2 way's from the front to rear
  2. Adding a 3 way hertz component up front.
PS : Will be powering the front pair of compnents and the Sub by the amp and the rear ones will be powered by the headunit itself.

For the time being am posting a pic of the headunit after installlation.

It has begun!

That's a good and VFM HU you've got there. Now, you can build upon it very nicely.

Your upgrade plan is perfect. This is the way one should build up a system rather than hurrying up thru the aisle. Within 20k, you should also check out the ID components. Quiet amazing they were. There's a Swift in Cochin installed with those. I can arrange for a demo if wanted. For me, it sounded better than any of the components in it's price range.
Also, not to forget that Hertz is on a clearance sale. So, this would be the right time to buy it. Contact Gunbir for more info.
Have you heard about the Bull audio of germany? They're manufactured by Rainbow. They've launched it's speaker lineup here in India. Will be interesting to see how it goes. Would suggest you to check them out.
I fear that a PDX will fit into your budget or not. Would recommend you to do a rethink in this department.

Now, we are very fond of stretching ICE ambitions of anybody who ends up here for advice on the forum. No matter a friend or foe. So, before you start banging your head. You are warned.

Few members says that energy series is a little bright for there tastes so try listing them before hand. And there is a Alpine 545 for sale in the classified.

Yes and not. If one uses the passive cross overs then it can run with a 2 channel amp. But if one want to run it active then one will need 6 channels.

@Max -> you must also try audition Illusion Electra`s also. They are best sounding speaker I have heard in that price range. They must be priced around 10k for the sweet music they produce (hope Ajay Bhai is not listing) but they retail for 6.5k

Yes. It's better to audition them before you decide.

I think you've already spent some good hours in Hydra's car. Now, see if you can catch up with some others too.

If that Alpine 545 is up for a good price, then grab it ASAP.

Having observed the trend for a while in ice section , i have noticed that people with a budget of 5 end up spending 10 , and those who had 20 ended up spending 40 . So accordingly am comfortable with anything below 25 . This is what am hoping ..
@Zak - am getting it from dubai .

Hertz ESK163 is available for less than that. I believe there are some more brands/models available too.
