Ouch. I get an average of 7 and I use 97 octane. The pump I use is right by your house on Warden road.

Have them check the car. 4 is waayyy too low. Ask other TBHPian RS users like Normally_Crazy, Mad Monkey, etc.

Back to ICE.

Who would drive Mumbai to ND when I could fly there @ the cost of 1/2 tank of fuel !!!

Even my contessa gave more mileage lol. it used to do 6 kmpl. 4 Kmpl is too low. Maybe, there is something wrong with the car or it could be your driving style. If its the former, do get it checked by the A.S.S.

Have you upgraded the tires/alloys or are they stock?

cheers

mine are stock. the only service i have done in the past 4 years / 20K km is one oil change to Mobil 1 (at 10K) and a tyre rotation (at 10K). My car might be due for it's second service soon.

You need to get it looked at. You should get atleast 6-7km/liter. We drive in about the same traffic.

17" OZ - Grand Tourismo + Goodyear FSD 3 tyres 225/24/17 [I think]
K & N Typhoon
Level 1 chip
Koni FSD Shocks
Eiback Lowering Springs
Remus Sports Exhaust
Recaro Seats [leather]

I only use this car @ night.
Very rarely do I take it out in the day - except to office to get it cleaned / polished etc.

p.s. One cannot even make a mistake in calculating the average of any skoda vehicle. The car tells it to you, real time and per trip & per fill !!

Hi Bhagwan,

The above changes explains the poor FE and of course a heavy foot in addition to the above.

I am a very poor driver; No Technical idea !
Besides, I get scared of speed [really I do]
I like to do [make changes] all such things, but do not know how to drive fast / well !!!

A term that would apply 'aptly' panzy !!!
Please do not make fun;;;

Navinji has a chauffeur for his RS. lol.

And there's N_C who also has a RS but his only aim is to get the best mileage out of the car.

@ Bhagwan ji - Amazing stuff you have there!
If your "slightly souped up" RS is driven like a Fabia, there is no way you'll get 4-5kpl. Don't be shy, we are after all a community of petro heads.
