looks clean !

Hi !

Looks clean.

Try and get some damping into your front 2 doors;
It will make a lot of differance.

Also try and buy the illusion audio cable and install that.
I think I saw some other cable being used in the installation.

As the cable didnt came in the box we used JBL ....

However I do understand the need for damping as it will sound even better but the spacer and speakers are mostly screwed with the door pannel it dosent produce a vibrating noise.

But still it will be done really soon...

This looks nice yayaati.

Yes I remember Ajay telling that Illusion speakers do not come with wires.

Btw did the spacers come with the speaker box ?

That's right guys. No speaker cables with ANY Illusion speakers. Not even with the Carbon series except the 1 odd foot pre-soldered to the tweeter.

This is because they insist that the speakers (even the Electra) be used with good quality speaker cable, atleast 16 gauge and hence refuse to provide the usual substandard 5 cents a meter speaker cable found bundled in with other entry level speakers. That is also the reason for their lone accessory product, the Reference Series 16-ga tinned OFC Speaker Cable which is for 150 Rs./ meter.

Nice setup! I have the same components, and am very happy with them.
One question about the crossover on the driver's side - doesn't it get in the way of the driver's legs and feet? There isn't much space anyway in a Santro... from the pics the X-over looks pretty close to the pedals.

Was this a JBL amp-wiring kit? From what Sam mentioned sometime back, JBL no longer makes these kits, and these are most likely fake. Just something you could verify with the accessory shop...

So would the speaker cables that come in an amp wiring kit suffice? Or is it better to buy them separate?

AFAIK, JBL does not make wiring kits. Please ensure that you haven't been taken for a ride.

The wiring which is used here is the one which comes with the JBL GTO 607C Kit

Guys, I think what he meant was that he used JBL speaker cable which comes with JBL speakers.

@yayaati -Congrats on your ICE. Glad to know you're enjoying your music. Wish I could audition the Carbons sometime, with a nice amp; if possible in Pune, WOW!
